On November 13, international superstar Shakira will release ORAL FIXATION TOUR, a live DVD and behind the scenes footage from her l40-city, 2006/07 world tour which was attended by more than 2.5 million fans in North America, South America, Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia. Directed by Nick Wickham, the DVD (Epic Records) features Shakira in l7 thrilling performances (listing below) with guest performances from Alejandro Sanz and Wyclef Jean. Also included are three bonus video clips, behind the scenes footage and a documentary of Shakira's visit to Colombia in support of her Pies Descalzos foundation which builds schools in poor areas of the country. Shakira's Oral Fixation tour sold out all around the world, and she made history when she performed in front of 200,000 fans at Mexico City's Plaza del Zocalo, the largest crowd in Mexican history. She played at the pyramids in Egypt and for the first time in Dubai. The ORAL FIXATION TOUR dvd includes behind the scenes footage of Shakira during her world travels, meeting with fans, friends and world leaders, and a triumphant hometown visit to Baranquilla.
Shakira most recent releases Oral Fixation Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 have won six Latin Billboard Awards, 5 Latin Grammy Awards, two People's Choice Awards and been nominated for a Grammy. The lead "La Tortura", featuring Spanish superstar Alejandro Sanz, was #1 in l6 countries and the first Spanish language video added into regular rotation at MTV and Vh1. "Hips Don't Lie", featuring Wyclef Jean, was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the most played song in the history of pop radio. The song became a digital phenomenon, hitting the million download mark faster than any tune in history, and has been downloaded l.5 million times to date.
